Why doesn't Africa work?

After much thought and discussion, the answer has become clear. This is the first time in history anyone has managed to finger the problem, so you're a lucky person to read it. The problem is simply that African people can not function in a structure. The structure may be government, a company, even a family. The reason may be they're simply too individualistic, which theoretically should make them excellent capitalists. Unfortunately, even capitalist societies need a certain level of behaviour towards society support. Being an African myself, I can understand this from a deep level. I have just been asked by someone trying to help a poverty-stricken person, what that person should do with a small financial windfall they received. Enough to buy a junk 2nd hand car. After much deliberation, I have realised the only 3 choices he has is drink it, or give it away, or allow it to be stolen. Anything he buys with it will be stolen, including cheap property, if not by his fellow cirizens, then by the police or bank. And if not directly, then indirectly, for example, by illegal invasion. Until we Africans can learn to look after each other, there is really no hope, and we may as well give up trying. I suppose its a world trend at the moment - nationalism, greed - just look at USA.
